Farmyard Tales are gently humorous stories about the people and animals of Apple Tree Farm.

These books are designed for children who are just learning to read, but they will be just as appealing to those who cannot read yet.

books for early readers
Titles in the Farmyard Tales series have a "dual-level" text;

for those just starting to read, there is a single simple sentence at the top of each page. More text at the bottom of each page adds details for more confidant readers, or for a partner to read aloud to the child.

This is a wonderful series to "grow" with your family and strengthen your child's reading skills. They will also love to find the hidden yellow duck on each page!

Parent review of the Complete Book of Farmyard Tales:

"This a good quality book for children as young as two. The pictures are darling and the stories are creative. Children will be introduced to the daily discovery of farm life through the eyes of Poppy and Sam, the main characters.

The book offers one sentence of text at the top of each page and several sentences at the bottom of the page that add further detail to the story, which makes this book so adaptable for a wide age range...

this book comes with a free read along CD that is great for road trips - my kids always ask for it. Music plays as the story is read and animal sounds can be heard, too.

It is a good book and would make a great gift. It's 20 books in one - 320 pages of creativity! So you get a lot for your money."
